Result
BOMS does something most virtual activities cannot: it gets people out of their chairs. By the time the final scores are tallied and the best moments are shared back with the group, teams will have moved their bodies, stretched their minds, and laughed harder than they expected to on a regular workday. The shared experience of seeing colleagues complete challenges in their own environments, with all the spontaneity and imperfection that comes with it, creates a warmth and closeness that polished virtual formats rarely achieve.
Learning Outcome
Holistic Engagement: Participate as a whole person, physically, mentally, and energetically, not just as a face on a screen
Creative Thinking: Interpret and complete challenges in ways that reflect your personality and resourcefulness
Team Spirit: Rally behind teammates, celebrate their efforts, and compete with genuine enthusiasm from a distance
Communication: Share, document, and present challenge completions in ways that keep the whole group connected and entertained
Resilience and Adaptability: Push through physical and mental challenges in an uncontrolled, real-world environment where nothing is perfectly set up

Have any Questions?
What kinds of tasks are included in the challenge list?
Expect a mix of physical challenges that get the body moving, mental puzzles that demand focus and creativity, and running or movement-based tasks that test endurance and determination. Every category has something for every kind of participant.
How does the pre-event engagement work?
Teams can be broken into groups and given warm-up challenges in the days leading up to the main event. This builds team identity, friendly rivalry, and genuine anticipation before the BOMS Challenge officially kicks off.
Do participants need any special equipment or space?
No special equipment is needed. The challenges are designed to be completed using whatever is available in and around a participant’s everyday environment, which is exactly what makes the results so entertaining.
What do participants say about the experience?
That it was the first virtual team activity that actually made them move. Seeing colleagues complete challenges in their homes, gardens, and neighbourhoods strips away the professional veneer and shows people as they really are. That kind of authenticity does more for team connection than almost anything else.
